چکیده

This work evaluated the effect of sun-dried tomato waste (SDTP) on growth, carcasses, digestibility nutrients, digestive enzymes, blood chemistry and intestinal microbiota 250 one-week-old growing Japanese quail. The birds were randomly distributed into 5 equal groups. Group 1 was fed basal diet (BD) (control), Groups 2, 3, 4 BD containing 6, 9 12% SDTP respectively. significantly improved body weights gains at 3 weeks age compared with control, 6% level seems to be optimal used throughout first 3–5 age. With or SDTP, percentages liver giblets meat moisture crude protein relative control 3%. In quail diets, percentage ether extract reduced increasing SDTP. studied levels did not change DM, OM, CP NFE. highest amylase lipase enzymes recorded in opposite control. decreased total cholesterol than all other treatments. lowest HDL shown 12 9% showed SOD, TAC, IgM, IgG Complement values among different MDA content caecal E. coli Salmonella spp counts found inclusion followed by finally conclusion, dietary can enhance growth health status quails via improving nutrient digestibility, reducing pathogens.

The effect of 1-week feed restriction on performance, digestibility of nutrients and digestive system development in the growing rabbit.

A 3 to 4 week feed restriction of about 20% to 25% of the free intake is widely applied in rabbit breeding systems to reduce post-weaning digestive disorders. However, a short intensive feed restriction is described in few studies and can be beneficial for growing rabbits due to a longer re-alimentation period. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of ad libitum (AL) and two restrict...
